Golfsocial Sync

Your round, synced from DGU and ready to share.

Let us guess. You have registered your rounds the same way for years, and you were not exactly waiting for an app to tell you how. Fair enough, keep doing it your way. You play the round, the score lands on the official record like it always has, and the moment it does, Golfsocial quietly pulls it straight from DGU and turns it into something worth sharing. The birdies loudly, the triple bogey less so, and those rounds deserve an audience.

Your round, synced from DGU

Register a counting round, and you do not have to do anything else. Golfsocial picks it up from DGU automatically: the course, the date, the scorecard, all of it, pulled in and waiting for you. No typing it in twice, no second app to open. The round you just played is simply there, ready, by the time you are back in the clubhouse.

One tap from a score to a story

From there it takes a single tap. Post the round to your friends. Drop it in your group so the people you play with can follow along. Add the photos from the day, write a line about how it went, and let the round be what it actually was: not a number filed away, but a story worth telling. The win, the comeback, the back nine that fell apart and made everyone laugh. That is the part we are really building for.

What Golfsocial Sync gives you

  • Synced automatically: your round arrives from DGU on its own, nothing to type in.
  • Shared in a tap: post it to your friends straight from the round.
  • Built around your group: drop it in a group so the people you play with can follow along.
  • Make it yours: add the photos and a caption, so it is the day you had, not just the score.
Good friends do not let good friends golf in silence.

Official handicap, by default

Because it comes from DGU, the round in Golfsocial is the real one. The same score that counts toward your official handicap, not a re-entry and not a parallel version. Your golf gets to be social without ever being less than official. The serious part stays serious. The fun part finally has a home next to it.

Where this is heading

Golfsocial Sync is one step toward something bigger: a single home for your golf, where the round you played and the people you played it with finally sit in the same place. Connect, play, improve, and do it together. That has always been the idea. This is what it looks like when the admin disappears and only the golf is left.

Common questions

Do I have to type my round into Golfsocial?

We would of course love for you to enter the round straight into Golfsocial. But if you register it in Golfbox instead, that is completely fine: it still syncs from DGU, and your friends can follow along the moment you post it on Golfsocial. Either way, you never type the same score in twice.

Is the synced round my official handicap round?

Yes. Because it comes straight from DGU, it is the same score that counts toward your handicap, not a re-entry or a parallel version.

How do I connect Golfsocial to DGU?

You connect your account to DGU once in the app. After that, your rounds and handicap keep themselves up to date on their own.

Does Golfsocial Sync cost anything?

No. Golfsocial is free on iPhone and Android.

Do I decide what gets shared?

Always. A synced round sits there until you post it. Share it with friends, drop it in a group, add your photos, or keep it to yourself.
